#10. Bo Nix – Oregon Ducks

All eyes were on the Pacific Northwest this past weekend as Bo Nix and the Oregon Ducks hosted Coach Prime and the Colorado Buffaloes. Going head-to-head with Shedeur Sanders, Nix put on a quarterbacking clinic as Oregon demolished Colorado 42-6. The 5th-year senior threw with pinpoint precision all afternoon, going 28 of 33 for 276 yards and 3 touchdowns. He even ran one in from 11 yards right before the half out for good measure, showing a rare flash of athleticism from the pocket passer.

#9. Heinrich Haarberg – Nebraska Cornhuskers

Heinrich Haarberg is looking to turn things around this season for Nebraska, as the backup quarterback just led his team to a 28-14 win over Louisiana Tech. He threw for 107 yards and 1 touchdown on just 17 pass attempts, but Haarberg once again used his rushing ability to its full potential – the athletic quarterback rushed for 157 yards in the victory, including a 72-yard touchdown run that clinched the win for the Cornhuskers.

#8. Carson Beck – Georgia Bulldogs

Georgia’s Carson Beck has passed somewhat under the radar over the first few weeks of the college football season. In his first year as starting quarterback for the No. 1 team in the country, Beck managed a few decent performances before really breaking out in his team’s Week 4 matchup with UAB. The junior threw for 338 yards and 3 touchdowns on 22 of 32 passing, along with another touchdown on the ground.

#7. JT Daniels – Rice Owls

Following stints at USC, Georgia and West Virginia, senior quarterback JT Daniels is now under center for Rice. Despite ultimately losing, Daniels looked sharp in Week 4 as he threw for 432 yards and 3 touchdowns on 27 of 40 passing in a back-and-forth affair against USF. The former National High School Player of the Year is the highest-rated recruit to play for Rice in a long time and provides some much-needed consistency for the Owls at the quarterback position.

#6. Byrum Brown – South Florida Bulls

Across the field from JT Daniels last week was USF’s starting quarterback, Byrum Brown. He may be a freshman, but Brown showed flashes of great potential as he guided his team to the 42-29 win over Rice. The young signal caller was effective with both his arm and his legs, passing for 435 yards and 2 touchdowns while also picking up 82 more yards and an additional score on the ground.

#5. Michael Penix Jr. – Washington Huskies

Arguably the best quarterback in college football so far this season, Michael Penix Jr. has once again earned a spot on our top 10 list following another great showing by the Huskies. Washington cruised to victory in a 59-32 rout of California, with Penix Jr. airing it out for 304 yards and 4 touchdowns. Odds makers currently have the Penix Jr. as the betting favorite to take home this year’s Heisman Trophy as college football’s most outstanding player.

#4. Cameron Ward – Washington State Cougars

There seems to be a number of talented quarterbacks in the Pacific Northwest this season as Washington State’s Cameron Ward guided his team to a massive win over Oregon State. In one of the few games to feature a pair of top 25 opponents, the Cougars withstood a late rally from Oregon State to hang on for the 38-35 victory. Ward had a number of big plays throughout the day, finishing with 404 yards passing and accounting for 5 touchdowns in this huge Pac-12 showdown.

#3. Caleb Williams – USC Trojans

The top pro quarterback prospect in the country turned in another strong showing in Week 4, guiding the Trojans to a 42-28 road win over Arizona State. USC may have stumbled through the early stages of the game, but Trojan fans never tire of seeing Williams dominate on the football field. Last year’s Heisman Trophy winner was 20 of 31 for 322 yards through the air and accounted for 5 scores on the day (3 passing, 2 rushing), including a key 45-yard touchdown strike to seal the game late.

#2. Ben Bryant – Northwestern Wildcats

In one of the more thrilling college football games last week, Northwestern quarterback Ben Bryant led the Wildcats to a stunning come-from-behind win over Minnesota. Trailing by 21 points entering the 4th quarter, Bryant led his team on 3 straight scoring drives, including a game-tying touchdown pass with just 2 seconds left to play. Including his game-winning 25-yard touchdown pass in overtime, Bryant finished the game with 396 yards and 4 scores on 33 of 49 passing.

#1. Jack Plummer – Louisville Cardinals

The Louisville Cardinals are 4-0 in the ACC standings to start the season and much of that can be attributed to quarterback Jack Plummer. After starting for Cal last season, the fifth-year senior committed to Louisville this summer and just gave the Cardinals the best performance of his college career. Plummer was nearly perfect against Boston College in Week 4, throwing for 388 yards and 5 touchdowns on 18 of 21 passing, with another touchdown on the ground. With an outing like that, you may want to keep an eye Plummer plays in a couple of weeks when Louisville takes on 11th-ranked Notre Dame.
